High Performance Conversations
According to the CIPD 2014 Employee Outlook report, 44% of employees do not believe there is clarity of communication with their line manager on their objectives and expectations. In reality there are only 7 types of conversation managers ever need to have with their staff. And the first of these, which is also key to unlocking the remaining 6, is the one that is rarely held.
Purpose
This programme equips managers with the skills needed to have pivotal conversations, with colleagues, reports and senior managers. The programme shifts the focus from performance management to giving managers and staff the confidence to discuss real-time, day-to-day performance matters around role-clarity, goals, tasks, outputs and behaviours.
Programme
This programme takes insights from neuroscientific research into the dynamics of feedback and applies them in a programme spanning a number of individual modules and takes in opportunities for self-reporting and 1:1 coaching. Our high performance conversations programmes are designed on a bespoke basis, taking in to account the culture, values, vision and needs of your organisation. We combine dynamic delivery methods, with support throughout the process and a focus on helping you embed the skills you’ve learned.
Outcomes
Following the programme you will be able to:
- Understand the neuroscience behind feedback, conversations and what deters people from holding high performance conversations
- Develop a high performance culture where employees take ownership of their performance, hold each other accountable for maintaining high standards and act on their own to improve capabilities
- Hold high performance conversations with any colleague, in any scenario
If you want to learn how to enable your colleagues to perform at their highest, this is a must-do programme. It’s given me the tools and improved my awareness of how to support my team more effectively - individually and collectively.
